Indigesound Introduction

The vision for Indigesound began during a 12 hour car ride from South Africa to Mozambique. Judah and I were working in Johannesburg for that year as missionaries with a local church, and decided to take a short visit to Mozambique in the middle of our year. We had no air conditioning in our car, and the 90+ degree heat insured the car windows remain open, making any type of communication between the two of us nearly impossible. To top it off, our car stereo was broken. Needless to say it was a very quiet car ride and we spent a lot of time in prayer on that trip. At the time, Judah and I were unsure of why God had brought us to Africa in the first place. It was clear that God had called us and made a way for us to be there, but even after 6 months in the field, we were still not certain of the purpose of our visit. We decided that we would take this trip to really pray and seek God about His plan for our lives going forward.

For years had felt that our passions and talents were so diverse and random, and that there was no “glue” holding them all together. It was difficult to decide which road to take as there seemed to be opportunities for us at every turn. We knew that we really wanted to be a part of something big and awesome- something that would reach a lot of people for Christ, and that would also mobilize other Christians to use their gifts and talents, too. We just had no idea what it was!

It would be an understatement to say that God answered our prayers on that dusty car ride. God truly spoke to us through the whole drive and by the time we arrived at our destination Judah and I had so much to talk about that we could barely contain ourselves. The vision for Indigesound was so unique and special that we KNEW it had to be God. I remember saying to Judah, “I KNOW that this is God because I have NEVER heard of anyone doing anything even remotely close to this, and I don’t know of any ministries that have a vision like this!” We really felt right away that it was such a cool “God idea.” We should have expected that God would look “outside of the box” and give us a fresh look and approach to reaching the lost.

And so was the start of Indigesound Global Outreach. Of course, like any ministry, the vision is continuously changing and evolving as God molds it to be exactly what He wants it to be, but we are so excited for this new direction and we can’t wait to see where this journey will take us!

The purpose of this blog is to keep people informed about our journey. We've already met some fabulous people, seen some fabulous "God things", and recieved some fabulous testimonies. This is a place where we can post all of these things. While detailed information may be changed at times to maintain the securty of believers in "closed" countries, we'll be sure our stories are accurate, truthful, and hopefully- exciting!

And why wouldn't they be?? Our God is an exciting God!!!
